This was my first ever charity ride and I can say it was a great success. The route was fantastic and well marked. the rain and the cold gave the day an even greater challange and made you think about the adversity of those you were riding for.
Thank you very much and I will be back again next year. Robert

Five and a half hours later, Mother Nature finally gave us a slight break just as we pulled in with groggy knees and slightly soared bottoms, how about we do it again in the dryness?

Again I have to give many thanks to Kris Tobias, and all the volunteers who endure the cold wetness and pulled off this amazing event which we rarely experience in our small little Toronto. Itching for next years ride!

The 2008 RFK was may first. Just started this year and this was my second event. Congradulations to everyone - this was extremley well organized and profoundly-moving event.

Despite the steady rain (sun at the end of the day), I enjoyed the event, people, and the course. I will return next year!!

Well done!

I met Kirk at CyclePath in Markham in July and he had recommended a Trek bike, of course. It was my first bike and first foray into road biking. I got his email then and it was rideforkaren and didn"t really know what is was. As I learned more about the cause I took the 100 mile challenge thinking it was such a worthwhile event and for my roadbiking would either hate or love the experience. Well I loved it! As much as the rain and cold were not ideal the route was a great challenge. I got many stares with my Trek Madone bike with heavy Mountain Bike pedals and running shoes but finished in 7 hours. I was extremely impressed with the organization of the event, the quality of people and comraderie of the roadbike set, something I had never experienced before. Thanks guys, such a great cause, great people, I will be back next year (hopefully without the mountain bike pedals.) and thanks to all those in the 25km group who I met and gave me encouragement and company
